Appearance Requests and Information
Dear Community Committee Members:
The Aquatennial Ambassador Organization (AAO) greatly values the relationship we have with your community. As we plan our 2012 appearance schedule, we want to be sure that we have your festival's event information.
Each year the Minneapolis Aquatennial Ambassadors travel to more than 60 communities and make as many as 300 appearances statewide and internationally. If you would like our Ambassadors to attend your festival or event, please complete the attached Appearance Request form. AAO will make every effort possible to honor your request; however, many events fall on the same date and time. Due to the numerous requests and the fact that they many times overlap, we would request that our parade placement be in the first 1/3 of the parade. This may allow additional time for us to be able to accommodate another requested appearance. In addition to the information on the attached form, we will also need your parade application and/or coronation invitation, if applicable (or note the mailing date we can expect to receive the information).
Please send me your information by February 29, 2012 to get your festival/event on our schedule. Changes regarding times and location can be made at a later date, if plans are not yet finalized. If your community would like to recognize a volunteer with our Honorary Commodore Award, please send me the name and bio of the volunteer no later than one month prior to your event.
