Stepping Up in the AAO

Amber Watkins from Anoka, joins the Aquatennial Ambassador Team. We hope this announcement finds you safe and healthy during these unusual times.

It is with great pleasure that Aquatennial Ambassador Organization announces the addition of Amber Watkins to its Aquatennial Ambassador team. Current Princess, Jennifer Anderson from the community of Lakeville, has made the decision to step down as an Ambassador Princess. We are happy to announce the rest of this years Aqua team have agreed to continue for 2020-2021.

Amber Watkins:

Amber comes to the Aquatennial Ambassadors from the community of

Anoka. She graduated from Anoka High School in 2018 as she

was finishing up her year as an Anoka Ambassador.

This upcoming fall, she will be going into my 3rd year at The College of

Saint Benedict where she will be pursuing a degree in Elementary

Education with hopes of one day becoming a 3rd grade teacher.

She was a dancer for 16 years and can't wait to continue

dancing on the St. Bens Fall Performance Team. One of the main

things that she took away from her year as an Anoka Ambassador

was having the privilege of meeting new people, seeing new

places, and learning more than she could have ever imagined.

She is looking forward to being able to continue building new

relationships and giving back to the communities that she will get

to visit over the next year. She is beyond excited to be a part of a

team that builds community, fosters leadership, and empowers

young women.

We are all looking forward to getting back to normal and working with

Minnesota and other communities throughout the country.

Congratulations Amber
