Updated: Dec 29, 2021
December 22, 2021—The Aquatennial Ambassador Organization is excited to announce Amy Mauzy as a new Captain. Amy will join the current crew, which is set to attend the Pasadena Tournament of Roses next week.
“I’m very excited to welcome Amy to our team. Her past experiences with the Aquatennial Ambassador Organization and St. Paul Winter Carnival will make for an easy transition into the role and add greatly to our team,” said Commodore Brent LaSalle.
Amy is not new to Minnesota-based festivals. In 2019-21, she served as Board Chair to the St. Paul Festival & Heritage Foundation. She also served as Prime Minister to the 2016 St. Paul Winter Carnival Royal Family.
“I am very excited to join the Crew of 2022 with their travels around the country and state representing the Minneapolis Aquatennial. It’s a true honor to be chosen to join this incredible team in the second half of their ambassadorship. Thank you to Commodore Brent, Captain Paulette, Queen of Lakes Erika, and Princesses Hannah and Ari for the warm welcome!”
In her professional career, Amy is a Marketing Specialist at Hamernick’s Interior Solutions & Flooring Superstore, as well as founder and president of Prime Media and PR.
She lives in Hopkins with her Husband Rob, who is a past Aquatennial Ambassador Organization Captain, and their sweet kitty, Miss Maisy.
Amy will replace Captain Judy Holmquist who had to step down this winter to properly heal from an injury.
