The Minneapolis Aquatennial Ambassador Organization is pleased to announce the following 2019 events:
The AAO Community Luncheon, presented by SPIRE Credit Union, offers an opportunity to honor the communities of the 2020 Ambassador Candidates! This event will take place at the Millennium Hotel, and is your first opportunity to be introduced to the 52 candidates! The Community Luncheon will be on Tuesday, July 23 from 11:30AM to 1PM. The event is open to the public for $47/person, but has very limited seats available.
Meet the Candidates is a favorite of the community, alumni, and former candidates alike! See the creativity of the candidates for the 2020 Aquatennial Ambassador Team! This event is free and open-to-the-public, and will take place at the Minneapolis City Center on Wednesday, July 24 beginning at Noon.
The Commodore's Dinner - an AAO tradition! Join Commodore Ann Bailey to toast 80 years and celebrate her year along with Captains Marjorie Weinhagen and Jackie Paul! You'll be one of the first to know the Commodore and Captains for the 2020 year! And bring your dancing shoes to celebrate with The Grateful Red!
This event will be at the Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel - the Depot on Thursday, July 25 beginning at 7PM. Tickets are $80 per person through July 1; $100 per person after July 1. The Commodore's Dinner is open to the public.
Minneapolis Aquatennial Ambassador Coronation presented by SPIRE Credit Union. The Ambassador Coronation, the signature AAO event, is Saturday, July 27 at 4PM with a reception one hour prior. Coronation will be at Ted Mann Concert Hall on the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities campus. Tickets will be open to the public on July 1 through the University of Minnesota.
