AAO Recognizes Outstanding Honorary Commodore Award Winner and Minnesota Community Award

The Aquatennial Ambassador Organization (AAO) recognized the 2018 Outstanding Honorary Commodore Award Winner and the Minnesota Community Award during the Candidate Community Luncheon on Tuesday, July 17 at the Millenium Hotel in Minneapolis.

Harvey Mickolichek from the community of Silver Lake is the recipient of the 2018 Outstanding Honorary Commodore Award. Mr. Mickolichek has enhanced the community of Silver Lake in immeasurable ways including serving as a charter member of the local Jaycee chapter, being on the school board (and ensuring Silver Lake’s sustainability during a consolidation), and being a proud supporter of Silver Lake’s community festival, Pola-Czesky Days.

A committee within AAO annually selects one Outstanding Honorary Commodore Award Winner out of the hundreds of Honorary Commodore Award recipients that are presented throughout the year. The AAO sincerely thanks Mr. Mickolichek for all he does to better the community of Silver Lake and Minnesota.

The AAO also recognized Montevideo with the 2018 Minnesota Community Award. The Minnesota Community Award is presented to a leader of a community ambassador program who participates in the Ambassador Candidate Program, and reflects the mission and values of the AAO.
