The Aquatennial Ambassador Organization (AAO) is rooted in a profound love for Minneapolis and our fellow man. Minneapolis is a city we celebrate with pride. Our organization’s core values have been built around volunteerism, community and leadership. We emphasize empowerment and inclusion. Today our world seems upside down. We find ourselves being pitted neighbor against neighbor and ideology against ideology. This is not the American way. It is our pride in our city that makes us speak today. We are proud that our city has remained unified. We know the kind of people who live here, and we are not surprised by their fortitude. On this Holocaust Awareness Day, we need to stop and reflect on history. We denounce the events unfolding in Minneapolis and across Minnesota. The loss of life, violence in our neighborhoods, and the fear experienced by our communities has been devastating, but we have persevered. Everyone deserves to feel safe in their neighborhoods, to trust that their civil rights are respected, and to know that due process is upheld without exception. Human rights are not political, but rather a gift from God. The AAO sends our deepest condolences to the friends and families of Renee Good and Alex Pretti. No words can adequately express our sincere pain for your loss. Constitutional protections are not negotiable. We stand firmly for these principles and for the unity and safety of our hometown and every community we serve throughout the great state of Minnesota.

Board of Directors,

Aquatennial Ambassador Organization
