Best Days Of Summer Update

We are thrilled to announce that there will be an Aquatennial Parade this season. After extensive discussions with the Minneapolis Downtown Council (MDC), it has been decided that the Aquatennial Ambassador Organization (AAO) will assume the responsibilities and host Minneapolis’ premier, capstone summer event scheduled for Wednesday, July 22, 2026. The MDC has been extremely helpful and is delighted to partner with the AAO and can’t wait to welcome the parade to Nicollet Mall again. Normally this event takes an entire year to adequately plan and execute. However, we will only have half the time this year. So, we, the AAO are calling upon the many communities that make up and support the AAO, to step forward and volunteer your services and solicit donations for this Minnesota tradition. We need your help to keep this tradition alive in order to bring all the separate and distinct communities together as one. Let this summer be the summer of healing as we embrace this 87th year of Minneapolis history. Not only are we “Minnesota Nice”, we are also “Minnesota Strong”!
